Bitchin’ Hour: You Have Been Warned

Guildford-based “five-piece bunch of gays, theys and faes” are slamming the music industry to the ground with the Bitchin’ Hour Power, but they are only just getting started….

It has been an exciting year for Bitchin’ Hour, who have crash-landed into the UK’s rock and metal scene following the release of their debut album Screams in Bisexual Panic. Taking inspiration from the likes of Iron Maiden, Halestorm, Skunk Anansie and Coheed and Cambria, they refuse the “female-fronted” genre, discerning themselves as a “Bitch Rock” band.

Alongside gigging across the UK, Bitchin’ Hour are committed to their motto, “WE RISE TOGETHER.” They aim to use their voice and platform to support women’s rights, the LGBTQIA+ community and to stand against domestic violence and sexual assault. Discrimination will not silence them, where last year they donated profits from their set at The Railway Inn, Winchester, to Mermaids.

In September this year, they headlined a charity gig at The Boiler Room, Guildford, and live-streamed a 30-minute set with Hot Vox in October, supporting War Child UK. Their efforts raised a whopping £1,180

Their endeavours have landed them nominations for two awards presented by The Lounge Bar, Alton, who will announce winners at their annual Christmas party on December 16th. Voting closes at 12 pm on November 30th, so you still have time, but hurry! You can vote for them here!
