Beneath the guise of indecisive weather, resides Jade Cocoon, a new psychedelic indie band from the South Coast of England. The band consists of singer-songwriter Matt Bialas, guitarists Diana Valentinova & Wesley Tezner, bassist Scott Holder and drummer Sam West.
What can be heard is the complete work of Bialas, written, recorded and arranged under his own independent label, Cocoon Records.
Jade Cocoon are influenced by bands from Pond, St. Vincent, Christine and The Queens, David Bowie to XTC. Their sound has been described by former director of A&R at Columbia/Sony Olivier Behzadi as “Paul Simon’s ‘Graceland’ meets Vampire Weekend.’ Despite all of these influences however, Jade Cocoon have birthed a sound that is fresh and inventive.
