Bandstand Live! is returning to Palmerstone Park on Saturday 14th May, featuring a great line-up of music and a range of arts events.
Bandstand Live is a collaboration between Matt Bunday Events Limited, 103.9 Voice FM Radio and Southampton Solent University, with students involved in managing the event and even playing on stage during the day.

The Performing Arts and Culture Stage:
12.30 – 1.30 Introduction to commercial Hip Hop with Leila Hyde
A fun and exciting introduction to hip hop dance, open to all ages and levels. Ideal for beginners that want to explore dance and active forms of fitness more and have a laugh at the same time. Come along and have a go.
2pm – 3pm Neil Maddock
Local Singer-Song writer Neil Maddock will be playing through some of his own material and taking you on a journey of the inspiration behind the songs, as well as offering tips on song writing.
3pm – 4pm ‘Shakespeare Monologue-along’ by Oddbox Theatre
Come and enjoy monologues from some of Shakespeare’s well known shows, told in modern day English and then try to guess what classic show (Macbeth, Midsummer night’s dream, twelfth night and Hamlet) the text is from. Good fun for English and A-Level revision, or for all the family!
The event features lots of other stalls and activities.
