On the Friday 9 March 2018 from 1pm till 5pm a group of Music Management students are holding a conference at Southampton Solent.
This is an industry conference and networking event celebrating the role of women in music. We aim to bring together women in music and women aspiring to work within the industry, providing a positive and inspiring platform.
We need to come together to tackle the gender imbalance and frequent sexism within the music industry.
At its core, this is an event to promote diversity. Men are not excluded from this discussion and are encouraged to attend, as for progress to be made surrounding the role of women in music, the industry as a whole must be involved.
This event is happening at the day after the International Women’s Day.
