New Single from Matchbox Management’s Red Wine Talk

Matchbox Management is back at it again! Norwich based Indie 5-piece Red Wine Talk are dropping their first release in over a year…

Having become a staple of the indie scene in Norwich, Red Wine Talk hope to expand their across the country. With Jack Pinkney and Matchbox Management for guidance, we’re confident they’ll take it by storm!

Set to be one of the most popular tracks off the record I was lucky enough to get a sneaky listen of the new single ‘I Believe in You’ ahead of its release tomorrow (Friday 16th July). With an instantly catchy intro, this song will make you want to get up and dance. This continues into an even catchier chorus (which is still stuck in my head after just one listen).

With obvious inspiration from modern-day indie bands like The 1975 as well as some 80s pop/rock music, it’s easy to get hooked and start singing along! I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album…

Red Wine Talk wrote this single at the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown. Their inspiration for the song was to let people know everyone can be a part of the Red Wine Talk family.

“We’re all here for each other” and after everything that has happened over the last couple of years they wanted to let their fans know that “they aren’t alone”.

The new single comes with a music video (directed and produced by the brilliant Harry Harper). It has become a project that “everyone involved in is extremely proud of”.

‘The Beauty and Elegance of Drinking Alone’ is set to be released on Friday 13th August. I asked Jack what we can expect from the debut album…

“I’d say people could expect a surprising range in style. We didn’t want any of it to get too repetitive… We have slightly more rock n roll in there, obviously pop kind of stuff like IBIY, and some quieter love songs…[a] bit of everything!”

Red Wine Talk are eager to play their new tracks live at their upcoming gigs, including a headline slot at Latitude Festival on The Inbetweeners Stage.

They are also playing a Brighton show at the renowned pub The Prince Albert as part of their November tour. Not one but two London shows one of which happen as soon as September. With The Seabright Arms also being part of their November Tour.
