The Brook is a family run, lively and diverse Independent Grassroots Music Venue in Southampton. It’s a large, beautiful, old building full of character and charm, yet still maintains an intimate feel. Showcasing a wide spectrum of artists, with a wealth of fantastic tribute acts and a steady stream of genre’s from around the world.
Established for over 24 years, it has played an integral and instrumental part on the South coasts music scene. Amongst the many amazing musicians The Brook stage has been graced by the likes of Passenger, Jesse Glynne, Billy Bragg, Tom Odell, Heaven 17, Mel C, Saw Doctors, Taylor Hawkins, Band Of Skulls, Johnny Winter, Bill Wyman, Blue Oyster Cult, London Grammar, John Martyn and the list goes on.

The first of our Independent Venue Week gigs ~ Police Dog Hogan ~ and they’ll be firing up the audience with their catchy, fun-loving selection of country style, indie-rock infused songs. An exciting mix of fiddles, trumpet, banjo, mandolin, accordion, drums and guitars ~ expect a wonderful fusion of Americana/Folk and a vibrant, cracking night!

Three brilliant bands brought together to celebrate the spirit of independence and culture of live music. This night will be rocking the roof off! With 1990s indie rock band The Real People headlining the night with big guitars and soaring harmonies with support from The Dead Freights ~ a hot four piece Southampton based rock & roll band with a sublime mix of melodic pleasure and pain and The Villanovas ~ another emerging Southampton talent with Rock n Roll attitude ~ this is set to be one of The Brook’s highlights of the year.
