Music Moving Into VR

Virtual Reality (VR) is one of the new trends moving its way through the music industry. VR is the computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way by a person using special electronic equipment, such as a helmet with a screen inside or gloves fitted with sensors.

With new generations wanting more ‘full’ experiences through out life, music is slowly moving into the world of Virtual Reality. With notable campaigns from The Weeknd creating a video for ‘The Hills’ being 360 Degree so you can experience the whole scene. With articles from ‘The Wire’ stating that VR maybe the salvation of music over streaming.

Now Record Labels are starting to make the move into the VR world, With universal Music working with WITHIN, to create more ‘immersive’ experiences for their artists’ fans.
